Application Process

You can become a Difference Maker by applying to Providence. 

Apply Online: You will be asked to provide a user name and password for your very own personalized application account. After you begin a new online application, you can save it at any time, and come back to the application form - to complete the process.

 1. Non-refundable Application Fee

  • $50 for Canadian / USA Students
  • $150 for International Students
  • $70 additional fee for Applied Counselling / Counselling / Counselling Psychology applicants ONLY (Canadian/USA/Inernational Students)

 2. Offical Post-secondary Transcripts

Reference forms need to be completed and signed by your chosen referee. Forms should be mailed to Providence or delivered directly to Providence by your referee.

 5. Housing

Please contact the Student Services Coordinator to request housing information.

 6. EQ-i Informed Consent Form

  • Additional requirement for students applying for entrance into the M.A. in Counselling / M.A. in Counselling Psychology / Applied Counselling Graduate Certificate


Application Process

Once application is sent, please ensure that references have been sent out and are mailed directly to Providence once filled out.  All applications will be reviewed once the full application, references, transcripts and fee have been received.  Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for the application to be reviewed and assessed. If you are applying for a Counselling degree program (not applicable for entry into the Applied Counselling Certificate program), you will need to complete a Personal Assessment Interview conducted by an assigned Counselling Faculty member for Academic and Professional purposes. This will be done either in person or by phone depending on your location of study. This interview will be conducted within the first three weeks of either the Fall or Winter semester depending on when your studies first commence.
