The Advantages of Training at Providence
Providence Theological Seminary has succeeded in establishing a faculty of evangelical scholars and practioners from across the denominational spectrum (Anglican, Baptist, Mennonite, Free Church, and Pentecostal). The faculty holds without reservation to the Providence Covenant of Faith. With about 200 students Providence is a good sized community of learners and is small enough so faculty know students by name.
Providence offers a classic Master of Divinity with the full gamut of biblical languages, systematic theology, and practical ministry training. It also offers innovative programs in counselling, student development, TESOL, and Global Studies as well as one of the largest Doctor of Ministry programs in Canada.
Without compromising educational integrity, Providence offers courses in a variety of modes and timeframes to make it possible for you to finish your degree program in a timely fashion. Courses are offered on the Otterburne campus during the traditional Fall and Winter semesters, in Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring one-week modular sessions, and through online classes. In addition we offer a full slate of counselling courses at Ambrose Seminary in Calgary, Alberta.
Providence strives to be efficient in its operations in order to keep costs to the student down. Our rural campus provides a beautiful setting for the Seminary, which is only 30 minutes from the southern edge of Winnipeg, a major city in the heart of Canada.
