Employment Services Department
Providence is a three-in-one institution. The University College, Mile Two Discipleship School, and Seminary are unique parts of Providence, each with small class sizes and experienced faculty committed to integrating faith and learning while helping develop skills and character.
The goal of the Employment Services Department is seek out staff, faculty, and student workers who model excellence in their discipline and work and who have a clear and compelling understanding of their faith and Christian committment. As we search for and hire new employees and as we provide for our current staff and faculty we strive to continuously carry out the mission of Providence: to be identified among Canada's foremost Christian universities as a learning community that transforms students into leaders of character, knowledge, and faith, to serve Christ in a changing world.
We are governed by two covenants to which all faculty and staff commit themselves and to whose standards student employees are also held.
- Covenant of Faith – The University College, Mile Two Discipleship School, and Seminary hold and teach the essential doctrines of the Christian faith generally embraced by evangelicals.
- Covenant of Community Life – The Covenant of Community Life consists of the principles and policies which guide the life and activities of the Providence community.
