Registrar (Full Time)

The Enrollment Management Department invites applications for the position of Registrar.  The Registrar position is a full-time, 12-month position.  Reporting to the Vice-President for Enrollment Management and Student Success, the Registrar is responsible for providing administrative leadership and strategic direction in the development and management of institutional-wide policies and procedures contributing to the effective long-term planning and successful operation of all Providence schools.  The Registrar is cooperatively responsible for enrolment management, including forecasting, recruitment, admissions and financial aid. 

In order to maintain the integrity of the curriculum management process and enrollment audits, the Registrar will oversee academic record management alongside registration, transcript integrity and convocation.  The incumbent will also be involved in systems and metric development and related statistical reporting.  Further to these responsibilities, the Registrar will insure that the Enrollment Management Office provides a service that focuses on student care.  The Providence Registrar is at the hub of our educational enterprise.  It is essential that the person in this position is able to make and communicate decisions, to work with the details of record keeping, to move from one task to another throughout the day, and to remain calm under pressure.  Candidates with a strong Christian value system and lifestyle, and a commitment to Christ-centered Higher Education are encouraged to apply.

Student Services Coordinator

Full-time 11 month maternity leave position, with a projected start date of September 1, 2014 and end date of July 31, 2015.

The Student Development Department invites applications for the position of Student Services Coordinator.  The Student Services Coordinator will provide oversight for all Providence rental housing, provide administrative support for the Student Development department, oversee commuter services, assist students with career placement and planning and facilitate the on-campus student employment process.

International Student Services Coordinator (Full time)

The Student Development Department invites applications for the position of International Student Services Coordinator.  The Coordinator facilitates a Christ-centered living and learning environment for international students, promoting holistic growth and development.  He or she is responsible for helping international students make the cross-cultural and logistical adjustments involved in living and studying in Canada.  In addition, the Coordinator supervises and mentors a team of student leaders who work towards the same goals.

Recruitment Officer Position (Term Position)

The Providence Enrollment Management Department invites applications for a term recruitment position in Enrollment Services (mid-August to mid-December).  This position is great for graduates or others considering working in customer service/sales.  Applicants should have a commitment to Christian higher education, strong interpersonal skills and a customer service attitude.  A familiarity with the programs of Providence University College and Providence Theological Seminary is essential.  The position includes extensive travel within Canada and parts of the US.  An energetic and uplifting attitude is crucial when recruiting potential students. Attention to detail, a willingness to work on one’s own and previous organizational experience will also be good assets for this position.

Resident Director: Male (Full Time)

The male Resident Director works within the Student Development department at Providence University College and Seminary as part of the Residence Life team and is responsible for the day to day management of the male residences.  Duties include:  mentoring, training and supervision of male student leaders (Resident Assistants), building relationships with resident students, holistic programming, discipline and restorative justice initiatives, conflict resolution, resident room placement, administration, crisis management, etc.

A Master’s degree in Student Development, Counselling, or another related field is preferred but not essential.

The Resident Director is required to live on campus in the apartment that is provided for them.  In addition to a competitive salary, the Resident Director will receive Room and Board.  This is a 9½-month contract position (July 16, 2014 – April 30, 2015) with a 37.5 hours per week work schedule. This position is reviewed on an annual basis.
