We Are Building Together
Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
PSALMS 2:8
Since it’s inception in 1925, Providence College has played an important role in building solid foundations for many Christians, bringing the love of Jesus to thousands of people in Canada and around the world.
Today our focus remains on building students in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ
so they can in turn go to build up the church among the nations of the world. Providence is a Christian academic community in the evangelical tradition that teaches people to grow in knowledge and character for leadership and service. The College and Seminary have grown steadily and present facilities are inadequate. To achieve our mission, we must build a new facility to provide adequate dining, community, and study areas.
The new facility will enable Providence to:
- Attract new students and provide facilities to improve the quality of education
- Provide areas for students to fellowship, gather together and grow in faith while learning from each other
- Support our international students by providing centres for them to gather in and be part of the “family” of Providence
- Continue to meet Provincial Health and Safety regulations
We Are Building People
Built by donors, staffed by professionals, and filled with students, Providence is, at its core, simply people. People committed to building up other people, to building up leaders, and ultimately, to building the Kingdom.

Our work is education, but our real trade is people; people who head to the mission field, either here in Canada or far across the globe; people working in aviation or theology or one of the many other fields for which graduates of Providence are trained. While the buildings and grounds at Providence have provided the construct that has enabled our students to learn over the past 80 years, the new bricks and mortar we seek to put in place will allow us to continue to build the foundation of tomorrow’s leaders.
We Are Building Community
Much of the impact Providence has on its students comes through daily interaction and fellowship – in short, life on campus.

Students grow through interaction with one another, through sharing in each other’s experiences and walking alongside one another – through good times and bad. They grow through studying together side-by-side in a quiet room, sharing a meal, playing a sport, or even having a snowball fight. Students learn and live together and experience what it means to fellowship with one another. This fellowship and learning is a key conduit for the change Providence seeks to make in the lives of students. Staff and students alike are excited to be involved in each other’s lives; however, to be most effective they require opportunities to be together on a day-to-day basis outside the classroom. Key to this opportunity is creating the environment necessary for this interaction to happen freely – the infrastructure for a community experience.
Be A Builder!
We have begun our journey together to build a new facility that we believe will support Providence College and Seminary well into the future.
By helping establish this new facility, you are building into the lives of men and women who love Jesus and want to grow in what he has planned for their lives. For Providence it means a new beginning that will help attract more students, increase student capacity, improve the quality of living at the college and seminary and help us to reach and impact the lives of many more students.
Together we can accomplish great things for Him. Partner with us in building the Kingdom of God by financially supporting the Student Life Centre. Many lives will be impacted for all eternity through your generous support.
