Providence University College Public Lecture Series
This series of seven free public lectures are designed to offer a free educational experience for the general public by Providence University College faculty.
The third lecture in the series, titled "A Call to Reimagine Theological Directives for a Diaspora Church" will be given by Randall Holm, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biblical Studies.
In a Western postmodern world, the church is slowly coming to terms with its new life scattered on the margins of society. Denominational loyalties are thin if existent at all, and previous theological identities that divided are now interlocking in new and divergent ways. The change has not always been welcome or uniform, but it is allowing the church to rediscover its best transformative work as perhaps the “Official Opposition” to societal norms and values.
