His teaching fields include Biblical Hebrew, Old Testament Bible, New Testament Greek, and New Testament Bible. He also serves as Pastor of the Kleefeld Christian Community. Ed and his wife, Marilyn, have four children.

Contemplative-Mindfulness Based Therapy for Depression - Studies done on the effects of mindfulness practices in psychotherapy are steadily increasing. Interestingly, there has not been any research conducted on using a “spiritually-based mindfulness practice” (SMP) in the treatment of psychological disorders and enhancement of well being. The workshop extends the conversation by first exploring the spiritual foundation of mindfulness based on Judeo-Christian tradition and utilizing its attendant spiritual resources along with psychological interventions in the treatment of depression.
Taught by: RODOLFO NOLASCO, Th.D., Professor of Counseling Psychology, Providence Seminary - Rodolfo is Professor of Counseling Psychology. He joined the faculty of Providence Seminary in 1999 and in 2008 moved to Calgary AB to teach full-time at the Calgary Extension site (at the facilities of Ambrose Seminary). Dr. Nolasco is the author of several books and publications including, The Contemplative Counselor: A Way of Being. His teaching fields include: Contemplative Spirituality and Psychology; Integration of Psychology and Theology; Christian Spirituality and Formation; Congregational Care and Counseling; Counseling, Counseling Psychology Courses.

A.A. DEFEHR CHAPEL RENOVATIONS
The anniversary project will consist of making improvements to the seminary chapel. It has served students for many years as a classroom as well as a place where students and faculty members gather to worship. The goal of the project is to improve the effectiveness of the space as a larger classroom and to create a sacred place for weekly chapels.
