Providence contingent heading to CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship
2017-02-17

Three Providence Pilots soccer players will represent Turks and Caicos at the upcoming CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football) Beach Soccer Championship in the Bahamas.

Jepthe Francois, Jameslee Louis and Herby Magny have already travelled to Nassau, where they’ll open their schedule against El Salvador on Tuesday. Later next week they’ll also face Group D rivals Costa Rica and Panama.

Magny, in his second year at Providence, participated in the 2015 tournament in El Salvador, scoring five goals in three matches. He’ll look to be a reliable threat of goal once again for Turks and Caicos this time around.

First-year Pilots Francois and Louis, both defenders, are making their CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship debuts.

The tournament serves as qualification for the upcoming Beach Soccer World Cup, which will take place in the Bahamas in April and May.
