Golf sponsorships a chance for local businesses to support Providence students
2017-05-10

The 19th Providence Classic golf tournament is the perfect opportunity for local businesses to partner with Providence in supporting Christian higher education.

This year’s event will take place June 13 at Quarry Oaks, and registrations and sponsorships are going fast. For $150, golfers can still participate in an exciting day that includes a barbecue lunch, 18 holes of golf, the use of a cart, dinner and a chance to win numerous prizes.

All proceeds will support the IMPACT 2020 campaign—the largest fundraising endeavour in Providence history—that has already provided the Buller School of Business, new Science programming, a Welcome Centre that houses all student services and additional faculty for study areas such as Psychology and Biblical and Theological Studies.

Local businesses are also invited to make a difference in students’ lives by becoming tournament sponsors.

“The Providence Classic is an extremely important initiative in creating opportunities for both current and future students to receive assistance in Christian higher education,” explains Cody Quiring, Development Officer at Providence. “I am looking forward to seeing the entire community come together in support of Providence students.”

Quiring says a few sponsorship categories remain, including Diamond ($4,000), Platinum ($2,500), Gold ($2,000), Silver ($1,200), Bronze ($500) and Driving Range ($250). Interested parties have until early June to reserve their spots and can contact Quiring directly at Cody.Quiring@Prov.ca.

“This is also a great time to connect with old and new friends of Providence, Prov alumni and other tournament sponsors,” he says. “The Providence Classic is always something for us to be very proud of, but it would not be a success without our sponsors, prize donations and silent auction items that help make this event one of the highlights of the summer.”
