Yohannes Asrat and Ruth Shantz earn MCAC player of the week honors

The Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference released its Week 1 & 2 athletes of the week recently, and two Providence athletes have already become the recipients of the awards.

Senior midfielder Yohannes Asrat was named the MCAC’s Week 1 Male Athlete of the Week for his performances against St. Boniface University and the University of Winnipeg, while Ruth Shantz earned the MCAC’s Week 2 Female Athlete of the Week for her her two-goal performance against rival-school CMU.
