Reducing Our Environmental Footprint
On August 3, the new biomass stoker at Providence generated a beautiful flame about six feet high, running at a partial level. Except for the start up there was no visible smoke under the current conditions, the chimney exhausts mostly water vapour. Our consultant tells us that light vapourous trail will be visible when the temperature is colder. The testing of the fuel feed system and the underground water loop is demonstrating a system that is functioning very well. Heating in the fall will be more cost effective and environmentally friendly.
Congratulations to Heath Holden and Andy Martin for their effective oversight of this project.
