Thoughts Theological

Dr. Terrance Tiessen

Dr Terrance Tiessen began a blog on Friday, January 19. He started this blog, called Thoughts Theological (http://thoughtstheological.com/ ), in order to engage in theological thinking with the help of his friends, colleagues, and the general public. He notes that in the past writing has helped him sort through difficult theological issues and, at least at one point, caused his mind to change. Dr Tiessen will interact with current scholarship found in books and articles, as well as post some of his own ideas. He sees doing theology as an act of worship. So far, 35 people have commented on Dr Tiessen’s first post.

Dr Tiessen was Professor of Systematic Theology and Ethics at Providence University College and Seminary from 1989 to 2006. He retired in 2006 and was appointed Professor Emeritus. He is the author of three books and numerous articles and reviews.

Dr Tiessen’s blog joins a list of other professional blogs by Providence Faculty such as Michael Gilmour (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-gilmour/), Randall Holm (http://web.mac.com/rfholm/Site/Blog/Blog.html), and Hendrik van der Breggen (http://apologiabyhendrikvanderbreggen.blogspot.com).

Providence invites its friends and supporters to participate in Thoughts Theological as they are able.
