Israel trip open to Providence community
Providence is going to Israel – and we’d love for you to join us!
On April 28 to May 8, 2014, led by our President Emeritus Dr. August Konkel, members of the Providence community will be heading to Israel to explore the biblical and archeological sites that make up the rich history of the Holy Land. Along with current University College and Seminary students, anyone in the Providence community is invited to join in on this exploration with us. Whether you’re alumni, past-faculty, a donor, or just someone interested in tagging along with Providence, we’d love for you to enjoy this amazing experience with us.
We’ll be exploring the ancient ruins of cities and fortresses mentioned in the Bible, visiting historical sites of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, and experiencing modern life of a land with an incredible history. With the guidance of Dr. Konkel, and the tour guides of Bonaventure Travel, this will be an opportunity to truly get the most out of a trip to Israel, and to do so as a part of the Providence Community.
The trip will also act as a travel study, with the option to participate in the trip for course credit in University College and Seminary courses. For more information on what courses are available for credit, and specifics about the trip in general including travel arrangements, payment deadlines, and contact information, please visit our Israel Travel Study information page.
