Despite the wind-chill warning inducing temperatures on Thursday and Friday, over 50 high school students representing four Canadian providences braved the cold to be a part of Breakaway 2014 last week at Providence University College.
The event was a success, as students were able to experience Providence through attending classes, enjoying the food, meeting with staff, faculty, varsity sports coaches, and getting to know our current students by staying a night with them in dorm. Students even got the chance to soak in our annual full-length theatre production that took place on the weekend.
Breakaway was a great opportunity for students to ask questions, and to see what it’s like to be a student at Providence. But if you missed it, there are still opportunities to come see for yourself what Providence is all about. If you want to come down to Otterburne to see the campus, meet people in the community, eat some great food, and talk about an education at Providence, don’t hesitate to contact one of our admissions counsellors who would love to book a tour with you and talk to you some more about becoming a part of the Providence community.
