Brittany Heaman Joins 2012 Campaign
Providence is excited to add Brittany Heaman to the 2012 women’s soccer roster. Brittany comes to Otterburne from Virden Manitoba where she played out her high school years. Lately Brittany has been playing for the Brandon Chaos, one of the bigger women’s soccer clubs in the area. Brittany will be coming to us as a sophomore having taken a season away from the sport.
Providence will not only be adding the scoring and playmaking ability of Heaman to their roster, but they will also be adding maturity to the lineup. “I couldn't be more excited to add a player of Brittany's quality, on and off the field,” said head coach Giancarlo Calla, “Her passion for football and winning is contagious and will infect our team.”
Brittany is a strong offensive player who is gifted in many areas that make it difficult on a defense. “She will have the ability to stretch defenses and create scoring opportunities for herself and others,” said coach Calla, “she is extremely fast, has a great touch and displays a remarkable ability to finish the ball.”
Coach Calla looks to build on a disappointing finish to the 2011 season. With additions of strong players such as Brittany Heaman, There is no doubt that Providence will continue to climb the NCCAA national rankings in the 2012 season.
