Missio Dei - Set the Captives Free
Otterburne – For over thirty years missionaries representing organizations working around the world have come together on the campus of Providence University College and Theological Seminary. On January 30th, they will do it again.
Missio Dei, the annual, two-day mission’s conference at Providence is an important part of the Providence culture says Faculty representative Dr. Kara Mandryk, “because it reminds us that we are part of something that is larger than ourselves – the mission of God in the world. We benefit by hearing about what God is doing locally and around the globe, and how our community can be a part of that!”.
Mission organizations benefit from this event too. “The face of missions is changing”, says Howard Dueck, VP of Human Resources for Teach Beyond (formerly Janz Team Ministries), “the skill-set required to do mission makes this an ideal recruiting opportunity”. Teach Beyond is one of twenty-five mission’s organizations that will be on campus.
This event is open to the public.
When: Jan 30-31, 2013
