Providence Chamber Singers Tour Western Canada
April 23rd - Rossburn, MB (Rossburn Alliance)
Providence University College is pleased to announce the Providence Chamber Singers 2013 Choir Tour from April 23rd to May 11th.
The Chamber Singers are a 28-voice, award-winning choir under the direction of interim conductor Lowell Friesen, a former graduate of the music program. The singers are comprised of undergraduate majors from a variety of academic disciplines, are selected on the basis of their talents, as well as their commitment to excellence in performing and service to others. Our performers provide a real-life example of the academic excellence and character development we strive for at Providence. This ensemble demonstrates outstanding leadership in worship and ministry, providing music that will uplift, and inspire listeners, presenting the Christian message through song and word. The Choir’s repertoire includes mostly a cappella works from Byrd, Victoria, Chesnokov, Mozart and Mendelssohn, along with various contemporary works by Canadian and American composers.
The Chamber Singers tour annually through Western or Eastern Canada, and every three years, as on their most recent tour in 2012, travel abroad to the United Kingdom.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the Performing Arts section of the website for more information on the Chamber Singers. Thank you for your interest and we hope to be able to visit you soon.
