Seminary Alumna Recognized at Mental Health Awards
Josi Peters, alumna of Providence Theological Seminary, was recognized at the Heroes of Mental Health Awards presented by the Canadian Mental Health Association this past week. For the last five years, Peters has been writing a weekly mental health column in the Steinbach Carillon called ‘Let’s Talk’. As written by Garry Peters in the Carillon (October 24), Peters started writing this column after realizing the need to demystify the issues and make a little progress towards eliminating the many misconceptions people have.
Josi Peters graduated from Providence Theological Seminary in 2003 with her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Alongside writing for the Carillon, Peters writes the column ‘Good Counsel’ in Christian Week as well as counsels at Recovery of Hope Counselling Centre in Steinbach.
