Irma McKenzie named Director of Development
2013-12-10

We are excited to announce the hiring of Irma McKenzie as the new Director of Development at Providence.

McKenzie has been working in the position on an interim basis since this past summer, where her strong leadership ability and experience in faith-based and non-profit organizations has confirmed that she is an excellent choice to continue in this position permanently.

“Irma brings a wealth of experience in both the business and not-for-profit worlds,” says President, David Johnson. “She is a self-starter and a quick learner, and I think we have hired someone who can take us in new directions in generating support for our educational mission.”

McKenzie has had the opportunity to get a feel for the position on the interim basis, and her leadership and passion for developing Christ-centred higher education at Providence has been very evident in her time here so far.

“I’m very excited to take on this position at Providence,” says McKenzie. “I see my role as providing an opportunity for people, out of their relationship with God, to invest in Christ-centered higher education for students from around the world, and to partner with us in teaching people to grow in knowledge and character for leadership and service.”
