The Providence Men’s Volleyball team took home top honours in the Northern Intercollegiate Volleyball Conference last weekend, March 27-29 in Mankato, MN. The Freemen beat out seven teams including, U W Eau Claire, the 3rd seeded team in the country, as well as defeating Michigan Tech and River Falls after losing to them earlier in a two close matches. The finals had Freemen up against MSU Mankato, whom they defeated twice in a row (2-1) and (1-0) to secure the title.

Troy Klassen with 84 kills, 22 aces, and 12 blocks was given All Conference Awards, along with Troy Esau with 39 kills, 12 aces and 19 digs. Ryan Hamm added 17 digs and maintained a 2.57 passing average.

The men will be traveling to Kansas City, KS for the NIRSA National Tournament April 9-11.
