Some are two-year programs (about 60 credits) and others are three-year programs (about 90 credits). You will choose a major or area of concentration in one of these programs. These programs are delivered in various ways. The Doctor of Ministry program is delivered through one-week modules offered three times per year over two years. Up to one semester (15 credits) of the Master of Divinity program can be taken off campus. The Master of Arts program has two majors. The Theological Studies major requires full residency in Otterburne for two years. The Christian Studies major allows for one year (30 hours) to be taken off campus. The Master of Arts programs in Global Studies, Educational Studies, Counselling, and Counselling Psychology are delivered on campus, although up to one year (30 credits) can be taken at a distance. The Master of Arts in Counselling can be taken entirely in Calgary. Up to two years (60 credits) of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program can be taken in Calgary and by distance, leaving one year (30 credits) to be taken in Otterburne. In the Educational Studies program, the Student Development major can be taken without relocating to Otterburne. Courses in this program are delivered online during the academic year. Then students come to Otterburne for a few weeks in the summer to take residential courses. We will do everything within our power to help you complete your degree program. It is crucial for you to watch course schedules carefully and take the courses you need when they are offered in order to complete your degree program in a timely fashion.
