M.A. in Educational Studies
(Educational Ministries Major)
Two different formats are available. An on-campus study in Otterburne, Manitoba, or an innovative Distance Education format that includes online, module, and interactive distance education courses.
Degree Requirement: 60 Credit Hours
The Masters of Arts in Educational Studies, Educational Ministries major is for people who are training for professional ministry positions within church or para-church organizations (other than ordained, pastoral positions).
The goal of the Educational Ministries program is to help students become mature leaders who can help others mature in Christ. This degree combines academic and professional interests, providing students with a theoretical background in educational philosophy within the context of ministry. The educational nature of this degree provides training that would be an asset to a church or educational program and is designed for persons desiring graduate theological education for a variety of church-related ministries and personal goals.
By offering a variety of elective courses in selected areas of study along with a core of required courses, this program can be tailored to each student's particular interests and goals.
Graduates are employed in churches, para-church organizations, and Christian schools.
