T.T.E.S.O.L. Certificate
Training Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages

The Certificate in Training Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages is intended to prepare those who have already received training and experience in TESOL to train teachers for this vital task. In order to enter this program, students must already have a relevant undergraduate degree as well as the TESOL Certificate (or its equivalent). The TTESOL Certificate may be taken separately or as a part of the M.A. in Educational Studies, TTESOL major, or the Master of Arts in Global Studies. By itself, it may be completed in one year of study or, in combination with the M.A., in two years.

Students with the TTESOL Certificate and the M.A. have found positions teaching TESOL classes in post-secondary institutions in Canada and overseas.

Student Experience

"In the three years I spent at Providence, my understanding of the Bible was strengthened, along with my appreciation for historical Christianity and the Church. I know I have been well-equipped for vocational ministry wherever God may lead."
