Featuring an Introduction to the newly released and much anticipated fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V).
This is your opportunity to learn all about the changes from DSM- IV to the newly released DSM –V. This will be a significant part of the course as this will be the first time the course has been offered since the publication of the long awaited new edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, often referred to as Psychology’s bible.
This course includes biblical and theological reflection on, and examination of, common issues and concerns normally associated with the need for psychological treatment. Etiology, diagnosis, and treatment/care will be addressed. Foci of study may include depression, anxiety, loneliness, addictions, gender issues, and human sexuality. This course is open to counselling students, counselling program alumni seeking CEUs and interested others who wish to audit the course.
