Directed / Independent Study

Many courses are available by independent study.  Check with the professor who teaches a course to find out if an independent study option is available.  Be aware that the number of independent studies allowed in any degree program is limited by that program.  This information is available in the Academic Catalogue.

Some of our independent studies are available in an online format, providing recorded lectures and other online features, with a cost of an additional Technology Fee:

To register for an Independent Study, submit to the Registrar's Office a completed Independent Study Request Form, which can be found here.
