Seminary Entrance Scholarships & Bursaries


Alumni Bursary

Alumni Bursary, $500 (25 available)

This one time bursary is available to new students entering Providence University College or Providence Theological Seminary. The bursary application MUST be completed by an Alumnus on behalf of the prospective student. An additional $250 is available should the student choose to live in residence. These are shared between Providence University College and Providence Theological Seminary.

Master of Arts Bursary

Master of Arts Bursary, $500 (5 available)

This one-time entrance bursary is available to new students entering a Master of Arts program.

Master of Arts in Counselling Bursary Calgary

Master of Arts in Counselling Bursary Calgary, $500 (2 available)

This one time entrance bursary is available to new students entering a Master of Arts in Counselling program (Calgary extension only).

Master of Arts in Counselling Scholarship Calgary

Master of Arts in Counselling Scholarship Calgary, $1500 to $2250 (1 available)

This scholarship is available to new students entering a Master of Arts in Counselling program (Calgary extension only).

Master of Arts Scholarship

Master of Arts Scholarship, $1500 to $2250 (2 available)

This scholarship is available to new students entering a Master of Arts program.

Master of Divinity Bursary

Master of Divinity Bursary, $500 (4 available)

This one time entrance bursary is available to new students entering a Master of Divinity program.

Master of Divinity Bursary (Limited Time Bursary)

Master of Divinity Bursary (Limited Time Bursary), 60% Tuition Discount (up to $3,600)

This limited time bursary is available to new students entering a Master of Divinity program and returning students that have not yet completed 18 credit hours towards the Master of Divinity program.

Master of Divinity Scholarship

Master of Divinity Scholarship, $1500 to $2250 (2 available)

This scholarship is available to new students entering a Master of Divinity program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is not available with any other scholarship or internal bursary that is awarded by Providence Theological Seminary.

Minnesota/North Dakota Pastor's Bursary

The Minnesota/North Dakota Pastor's Bursary, (up to two courses)

This bursary is available to current and future students from Minnesota or North Dakota who are currently employed as pastors or acting as laymen in the Church. The applicant must meet all bursary requirements. Applicants do not need to be studying full time but must be enrolled in a Seminary degree program.

Missionary on Furlough Bursary

Missionary on Furlough Bursary, $1000 (1 available)

This one time bursary is available to new students who will be returning to full-time missionary service. Applicants must provide a letter from their mission’s organization stating the applicant's involvement with the organization.

President's Academic Scholarship

The President’s Academic Scholarship, $1500 to $2250 (2 available)

A Providence education is founded on academic excellence. This scholarship is available to the top two graduates (highest GPA) from degree programs at a Canadian ABHE-accredited Christian College. Applicants for the scholarship must submit a transcript and a letter of recommendation from the registrar of their college to the Scholarship and Bursary Committee.

Providence University College Alumni Scholarship

Providence University College Alumni Scholarship

Providence University College degree graduates who are pursing full-time master’s level studies at Providence Theological Seminary are eligible for an alumni scholarship. The applicant must have a minimum of 2.5 AGPA in undergraduate studies.

The Dave K. Schellenberg International Student Bursary

The Dave K. Schellenberg International Student Bursary, $500

This one-time bursary is available to new and current students entering Seminary training. Applicant must be enrolled in a degree program. The recipient must show intention to return to his/her country and document how they will use their training at Providence to train leaders in their country.

The Disability Bursary

The Disability Bursary, $500 to $2000 (dependent on availability)

This one-time bursary is available to students identified, by definition, as having a physical disability. The student(s) must demonstrate that the disability constitutes financial hardship and that these allocated funds will make a difference in their ability to attend Providence.
